Historic Castle Coach House – Trail & Wineries

Fabulous, comfortable, loved the fire pit, outdoor area, every comfort & viewing the castle was a bonus! It was amaz Positive: We loved it, the restoration is outstanding. Wonderful hosts who gave us a tour of the castle. It was amazing!! Negative: Nothing it was beautiful.

Very comfortable and beautiful, inside and out. Positive: Such a unique lodging. Picturesque setting, private, cozy decor inside, really comfortable. Excellent communication from the host. We chose the location to be close to the bike hire for the Dunstan Lake Track, but we would have enjoyed staying for more than just the one night. Negative: No complaints at all.

A beautifully restored, comfortable historic property with great hosts and location. Positive: A beautifully and lovingly restored 100+ year old carriage house on the grounds of a historic property. The kitchen was well equiped and the yard had a BBQ and a firepit. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Don't miss taking a tour of the restored 'castle' if the hosts offer. The location was fantastic for a bike touring holiday. Negative: Note there is no AC and, like everywhere in NZ, no window screens so it could be uncomfortable in hot weather.
